2020 - Today
George is currently working at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation as part of the Plastics Initiative Innovation team. Pushing to transition the global plastics packaging economy from a linear to a circular economic model. Working with the largest global FMCG companies, recyclers and innovators, covering areas such as reuse, material innovations and alternative business models.
2018-2020
George completed his thesis for MSc Architecture at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TUe), Netherlands in July 2020.
He has a strong drive for improving design and construction philosophy to move towards the circular economy. With a particular focus on bio-based materials and material reuse.
His thesis research is focused on a critical aesthetic architectural approach to 'reuse'.
In addition to his studies at TUe, he has fostered new working relationships between the Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) tutors (Ana Lisa) and TUe researcher (Tom Veeger). This has already led to a progression in the field of bio-based materials education.
While studying for his MSc at TUe George worked as a teaching assistant for another MSc course, Types and Methods in Architecture. Responsible for creating and coordinating the course and its content.
